Bristol CORE

Bristol CORE (formerly Bristol Downtown Community Partnership), a non-profit 501(c)(3), is a group of area business people, property owners and community members committed to increasing and maintaining the economic vitality of the Bristol downtown area and to organize and promote community events for Bristol citizens. We do this via beautification, marketing and economic development projects and programs. Bristol CORE and its  Board of Directors were created as part of the requirements to become a Vermont Designated Downtown, a status Bristol earned in 2006.

Bristol Revolving Loan Fund

The Bristol Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) was established with grant money the Town received in the mid 1980’s for Downtown Storefront improvement and low-income housing (apartment) renovations. The current RLF is money that has been repaid from the original and current loans. The fund is available for projects in Bristol. The RLF is designed for use in instances where conventional sources (bank loan, VEDA or SBA loan) may not fully a project. The fund can be used in conjunction with other sources of money.

Addison County Economic Development Corporation

Addison County Economic Development Corporation is dedicated to helping businesses in all stages of growth retain and create good paying jobs in Addison County.

As stated in the by-laws, ACEDC is organized exclusively for promoting the common business and economic interests of commercial enterprises in Addison County.

Since its creation by the Vermont General Assembly in 1974, VEDA has provided over $2.288 billion in financing assistance to thousands of eligible Vermont commercial and agricultural businesses, helping them grow and create jobs. For more than four decades, VEDA’s financing innovations and investments have helped to stimulate Vermont’s economy. The Authority’s original statutory focus was the support of industrial development in Vermont. In the last 40 years, VEDA’s enabling statute has been updated repeatedly to keep pace with Vermont’s growing economy. Over the years, VEDA has created and adapted innovative financing programs and tools to support the diversification of Vermont’s economic sectors, and maximized available funding for its programs.
We work to improve the economic well-being and quality of life of Vermonters, while preserving our natural resources and community values.
