The Bristol Pottery Studio—also known as the Bristol Clay Studio—is a welcoming, community‑based space where people of all ages and experience levels can explore creativity through clay. Operated through the Bristol Recreation Department, the studio is designed to be inclusive, hands‑on, and supportive, offering opportunities for artistic expression, skill‑building, and connection with others in a relaxed, creative environment.

Programs & Offerings
The Bristol Potter Studio offers seasonal classes and programs year-round for children, teens, and adults. Classes are designed to welcome beginners while also supporting skill development for returning participants.
Youth & Family Programs
• After‑School Pottery (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
A popular program where students explore handbuilding and wheel throwing in a relaxed studio setting. Finished pieces are glazed and fired for participants to take home.
• Vacation and Summer camps(week-long, during school break)
Adult Programs
• Adult Handbuilding Classes
Focus on building functional and non‑functional pottery using handbuilding techniques. No experience is necessary.
• Adult Wheel & Handbuilding Classes (Morning & Evening)
These classes introduce or build on wheel-throwing and handbuilding skills in a supportive group setting, welcoming both beginners and experienced potters.

• Studio Use & Materials
Participants may purchase additional clay Studio while in the current registered class. Access is available exclusively to registered participants during the dates of their enrolled session. Open studio time is available only to registered classes, and manufacturing or production work is not allowed.
